Vismo launches on Iridium Satellite phones

Vismo, the personnel tracking solution, is now available on Iridium Extreme Satellite phones adding to the BlackBerry, Android and iPhone portfolio.

The application is already available on BlackBerry, Android and iPhone devices and this latest edition ensures it can be deployed anywhere in the world. Vismo for Iridium is perfect for use by those in the remotest parts of the world. The Vismo application runs in the background and does not interfere with the phones functionality, it regularly communicates with your Crisis Management Centre (CMC), keeping you informed of location and key factors such as device battery level.

As with all other Vismo devices, the Iridium Satellite phone has panic functionality. In the event of a hostile situation or major incident, the panic alert can be discretely triggered. The phone will then automatically connect to a CMC and deliver the precise location of the user instantly. CMC can then make a decision on next steps and if necessary, co-ordinate a medical or extraction team.

Colin Dale, Vismo Business Development Director says, “We’re delighted to be offering such a comprehensive product across so many platforms. Our full compatibility with satellite phones completes the Vismo portfolio offering a truly global solution, Vismo can now provide tracking information from anywhere on the planet.”

Vismo will be on stand 3/G25 at this year’s IFSEC show at the Birmingham NEC in the UK on the 14th to the 17th May and the ASIS show in Philadelphia on 10th to the 13th September.
